In 1993, the French created “Le Décret Pain” which states that a baguette must be made on premises where sold, and can only consist of wheat flour, water, yeast and salt. Enjoy your stick bread dipped in your morning coffee or generously topped with Nutella. Day-old bread can be used to make “pain perdu,” also known as French Toast!
