The kettlebell is a cast-iron weight used for exercise. They were created in Russia in the 1700s for weighing crops. It is said that these farmers became stronger and found them useful for showing off their strength during festivals. Circus strongmen also were known to lift the enormous weights and skillfully juggle kettlebells.
